Project Status
Completed work:
1.  Ian’s Collections (6 minutes) – Ian Golder collects sand, macaroni and cheese boxes, straws, and M&M icons.

2.  Rubber Band Ball  (3 minutes) – Local legends Samir and Nabil Kishek, owners of the Pride Superette, a convenience store in San Francisco’s Mission District, have built the world’s largest rubber band ball.

3.  French Fries  (3 minutes) – LA filmmaker, Rebecca Baron, only has two collections: A compass collection and a French Fry collection.  This video focuses on her French Fry collection.

4.  Stringwork   (3 minutes) – Bay Area muralist Graciela Carrillo crochets, embroiders, knits, and wraps string around objects.

5.  Ann's Hoard (7 minutes) – Ann Sera considers herself more of a hoarder than a  collector.  Wigs, hats, vases, clothes, covered glass dishes, and jewelry are stashed under beds, in closets, in the garage, and in the attic.

6.  Bill’s Beanie Babies   (3 minutes) – Bill Mary collects Beanie Babies.  He recently remodeled a room, building shelves especially for his collection.

7.  Trina's Collections   (6 minutes) – Trina Robbins, the writer/creator of Go Girl! Comics is an eclectic collector.  Her collections mostly have to do with pop culture and with women.  She has girl action figures, bathtub figurines, saints and tikis,  popeware, queensware, and more.

8.  Norman and Brian's Collections  (5 minutes) – Norman Francis and Brian Hauptli have been together for 26 years and have amassed an impressive array of collections during that time.  Highlights include  tin toys, mickey mouse, lunch boxes, odd and curious money, animals (alive and stuffed) and primitive art.

9.  Fire Hydrants – Santa Cruz resident Steve Parmley is a fire fighter and he collects fire hydrants.


10.  Chinese Takeout Menus – Indigo Som is working to collect takeout menus from every Chinese restaurant in the country.
